Moto E Restarting Again and Again

The phone all of a sudden restarts on pressing power push. The reboot issue in first Moto E is seen in many cases. In fact, the people reporting this event are increasing in number.

The issue is generally seen when the screen is

1. locked or unlocked at any fourth dimension.
two. Frequently Locked and Unlocked
three. Just Unlocking from blueprint lock
4. Locking

Q. So we guess issue is in software? No , many users tried to wink stock ROM , custom ROMs , a wide range of kernels , just the solution however seems to exists.

A. Thus the problem is definitely in hardware. Solution is to prevent the utilise of power cardinal, which locks and unlocks the phone.

How to Forestall use of ability cardinal?

Solution ane:

-Utilise Power button to volume button : Playstore Link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teliapp.powervolume&hl=en
-Screenshots attached.
-Tap on enable/disable volume ability.
-Enable both the options.
-Reboot.
-Press volume button to wake and unlock phone and turn of the screen from status bar to lock the phone.

Solution 2:

-Root your telephone
-Install Elemental Kernel or any other which supports double tap to wake (d2w) [To Unlock]
-Install xposed kernel
-Download Gravitybox
-Enable double tap on status bar to sleep [To Lock]

Solution three:

Gravity Screen App

Solution 4:

-Install Custom ROM i.due east. Cyanogenmod 12
Unlock: In Settings>Buttons> Wake upwards devices
Lock: Use double tap status bar to slumber in Settings>display and light
(suggested by @Adarsh1998 )

Solution 5 :

-Intall Xposed Additions module
- Remap buttons i.e. volume button must work as power push
(suggested by @EthicalHacker )

Solution 6:

Fix it by inverting VOLUME_UP and POWER on /organisation/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl (root needed)

The changed lines looks like these:

key 114 VOLUME_DOWN
key 115 POWER
central 116 VOLUME_UP

Just restart phone and keys will be remapped.

Hence, there will exist no use of ability push if any of the above solution is practical.

Is the reboot issue gone subsequently doing this? For my Moto Due east , it is.

Solution 1 resolved my reboot issue but downside of the app is battery drainer but over its expert

Both the solution volition drain the battery a bit, non more, merely its improve than facing this borring issue , we dont accept any other choice as in home made solution

Althou information technology simply for wake the device not for sleep but i employ double tap status bar to slumber in Settings>display and light

We can use Xposed Additions module to re-map buttons. It will solve rebooting event and also won't drain battery.

Y'all can try , simply i doubt cuz it can be considered as tampering hardware, notwithstanding you can convince the service homo that the issue is in almost every moto due east , i.eastward. its motorola'southward mistake.

I didn't had this prob in first example, then i mean solar day, i don't know how, i started to encounter this issue, i tried every possible rom, even stock, simply trouble was persistent.
And so ane fine day, problem but vanished abroad equally if information technology was never there. (Still couldn't figured out what caused that problem)

Random restart problem is merely gone automatically after 2days of 13mb update.

Try "Wave Unlock". It works perfectly.
